14" (36 cm.) Terra cotta shoulder head inclined to the right and gazing downward,brown
sculpted hair in ornately-sculpted arrangement,inset brown enamel eyes,feathered
brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth,hemp-wrapped armature body with terra cotta lower
arms and legs,expressively-posed fingers and defined toes with sculpted detail,nicely re-
costumed in silks and braid. Condition: generally excellent,some flaking of original finish on
hands. Comments: Neopolitan,early 19th century. Value Points: very beautiful face with fine
original complexion and painting.
