9 1/2" (24 cm.) Bisque socket head with pronounced plump cheeks,tiny blue glass sleep eyes,painted curly lashes,tinted brows,accented nostrils of tiny nose,open mouth with outlined lips,two porcelain lower teeth,blonde mohair wig,composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 1407 20 Germany. Comments: the sweet toddler was designed by the American artist Joseph Kallus,trademarked as "Baby Bo-Kaye" and commissioned by George Borgfeldt from Germany,circa 1927; the doll was listed in the Borgfeldt catalog of 1927. This actual doll was featured on the cover of Theriault's March,1996 catalog "My Own Little Corner of the World".
