9 1/2" (24 cm.) Bisque socket head with pronounced plump cheeks,tiny blue glass sleep
eyes,painted curly lashes,tinted brows,accented nostrils of tiny nose,open mouth with outlined
lips,two porcelain lower teeth,blonde mohair wig,composition and wooden fully-jointed body.
Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 1407 20 Germany. Comments: the sweet toddler was
designed by the American artist Joseph Kallus,trademarked as "Baby Bo-Kaye" and
commissioned by George Borgfeldt from Germany,circa 1927; the doll was listed in the Borgfeldt
catalog of 1927. This actual doll was featured on the cover of Theriault's March,1996 catalog "My
Own Little Corner of the World". Value Points: rare model designed by named artist,with fine
