17" (43 cm.) Bisque socket head,blue glass paperweight inset eyes,dark eyeliner,lushly-painted
dark lashes,rose blushed eye shadow,brush-stroked and multi-feathered brows,accented
nostrils,open mouth,shaded and outlined lips,row of porcelain teeth,pierced ears,blonde mohair
wig over cork pate,French composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally
excellent. Marks: R. R. Comments: Emile Jumeau,the model was made about 1893 as a special
commission; the initials R.R. remain a mystery. The actual doll is shown in The Jumeau Book by
Theimer/Theriault,page 340. Value Points: pristine fresh condition,having beautiful creamy
bisque original wig,body,pate,and superb patterned rose silk dress with lace
trim,undergarments,stockings,black leather shoes,and exuberant matching rose silk bonnet.
