lashes,rose-blushed eye shadow,short feathered brows,accented nostrils and eye
corners,closed mouth with very full lips,extended-length blonde mohair wig,composition and
wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 1448 Simon & Halbig S&H 12
(head) Heinrich Handwerck (body). Comments: Simon and Halbig,circa 1912,from their 1400
series of rare characters,the model bears a close resemblance to Simon and Halbig's beloved
IV model (see following lot). Value Points: exemplary beauty of the very rare art-character
doll with flawless luminous bisque,superbly modeled and painted lips,hip-length extended
wig,original body and body finish,beautiful antique dotted Swiss dress,undergarments,watch
on necklace chain; the doll is so rare that few models are known to exist,this being in a fine
large size that allows full expression of her features.
