Description
7" (18 cm.) diameter. The wooden-framed drum with red stenciled borders has a tin barrel with
paper lithographed scene of Palmer Cox Brownies as Fife and Drum marchers on parade. Four of
the Brownies are depicted with drums,one has a fife,the sixth Brownie leads the parade with a
twirling baton. The Brownies are depicted in the classic costumes of their various characters,and
each has an amusing or mischievous expression or activity. Very good condition,some wear to
paper drum heads,scene is excellent and the drum has original ropes and wooden drumsticks.
Circa 1895,a very rare toy accessory.
