8" (20 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate that extends to mid-bodice and has slight-modeling of bosom,brown glass sleep eyes,painted lashes,feathered brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with accent line between the tentatively-smiling lips,blonde mohair wig over plaster pate,peg-jointed bisque arms,slightly cupped hands,kid half-torso with gusset-jointing of hips and knees. Condition: generally excellent. tiniest flakes at peg holes of arms. Marks: 111 (head and shoulder plate). Comments: Kestner,circa 1885,the model was clearly inspired by the Bebe Bru in its unusual body style. Value Points: among the rarest of the Kestner models,with most endearing facial expression,finest bisque,and uniquely- designed body.
