Bisque shoulderhead with oval face and elongated strong throat, oval-shaped cobalt blue glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, heavily-modeled eyeliner, feathered brows, aquiline nose with accented nostrils, closed mouth with up-tilted lip corners forming a piquant smile, accented lips, unpierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, kid poupee body with shapely torso, gusset-jointing at elbows, hips and knees, bisque forearms and hands in delicate cupped pose, beautiful emerald green silk ensemble, undergarments, stockings, boots, gilt lorgnette; additional antique dress and wrap is included. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: E 4 Depose B. Comments: French, Eugene Barrois, circa 1865, the doll is considered by some to be a portrait of beloved Empress Eugenie.
