2" (5 cm.) x 1 3/4" case. A royal blue slip case with front image of lady in folklore costume
contains a book-shaped folio,also with blue cover; the folio opens to an astounding accordion-
folded presentation of 22 additional sepia images of ladies in traditional costumes of their
regions. Each image is identified by region,mostly German and Swiss. and each has been cut and
adhered to the folio fold-out. An exceptional historical costume study presented in miniature
form. Excellent condition. Early/mid 19th century.
