10" (25 cm.) Bisque socket head with distinctive wooden bulb neck attachment to torso,very large blue glass paperweight eyes,thick dark eyeliner,painted lashes,widely-arched brush- stroked brows,shaded nostrils,closed mouth with outlined lips,pierced ears,blonde mohair wig over cork pate,French composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Paris Bebe Tete Depose 1 (red stamp on head) Paris Bebe Depose (and Eiffel Tower symbol on torso). Comments: attributed to Danel & Cie on the basis of neck articulation and signatures,although the facial model appears more similar to the unique pointy-tip nose model created by Jumeau after winning his lawsuit against Danel. Value Points: very rare size 1 with beautiful blue paperweight eyes,original body,beautiful antique costume comprising rose and lace dress with matching bonnet,undergarments,rose knit stockings,and leather shoes with brown silk rosettes impressed with full figure of a doll and "1".
