4 1/2" (11 cm.) A folding fan with 12 narrow wooden blades that are decorated with silver-
painted designs,unfolds to reveal a silk fan with hand-painted designs in the 18th century
Watteau-style,depicting a garden scene with two pairs of courtly figures,and is trimmed with
delicate Alencon lace. Very good condition,silk and lace a tad frail. French,circa 1875.
