9" (23 cm.) (7 1/2" kneeling). Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque torso,very plump facial
modeling especially of cheeks,tiny blue glass sleep eyes,painted lashes,dark eyeliner,feathered
brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,pointy nose,closed mouth with accent line between the
lips,very long blonde mohair wig,peg-jointed bisque arms and legs,legs modeled in kneeling
pose,bare feet,arms modeled with clasped hands as though praying. Condition: generally
excellent,small restoration around the outside right knee. Marks: 1111. Comments: Kestner,circa
1880. Value Points: among the rarest of the early all-bisque dolls,this model is further enhanced
by her large size,well-details body musculature,and charming plump face with beautiful bisque
and painting.
