Description
30" (76 cm.) x 21" frame. Each postcard 3" x 5". Each postcard features an amusing yet poignant
scene centered about the children of Montmartre during the WWI era, each with inscription
beneath the scene. In one,for example, one child asks the other "why are you always sleeping at
my at house?" and the young toddler answers,"Because it is always raining inside mine". The
cards poignantly, yet pointedly, reveal the hunger, loneliness and resilience of these young war-
torn children. Excellent condition. Postcards circa 1915,later framed.
