7" (17 cm.) Having golden-brown complexion,the all-bisque doll has swivel head on kid-edged bisque torso,black glass inset eyes,painted black brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with very full lips,black fleecy hair,peg-jointed bisque arms and legs,bare feet. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 61.17. Comments: Gebruder Heubach,circa 1890,the firm was founded in 1884 and registered six doll models in 1889,presumably including this model; the other models were 68,71,72,75,76,and 77. The model appeared in two versions: with paper mache body or this rarer all-bisque version. Value Points: rare all-bisque doll with highly- characterized features,superb bisque,sculpting and painting,wearing factory-original costume and gold bead jewelry and carrying little silver purse,basket,and all-bisque baby.
