17" (43 cm.) Pink-tinted bisque socket head,small blue glass sleep eyes,painted curly
lashes,feathered brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with defined space
between the outlined pouting lips,brunette mohair wig,composition and wooden ball-jointed
body,wearing navy blue parade uniform with gilt braid trim,black and aqua kidskin ankle
boots,helmet cap,red cape,and carrying silverplate trumpet. Condition: generally excellent.
Marks: 6970 Germany 7 (head) (Holz-masse mark on body). Comments: Gebruder Heubach,circa
1912,with original signed Dressel body. Value Points: especially fine quality of modelling with
very plump cheeks and well-defined chin,fine matte bisque,very dear expression,and original
body and body finish.
