5" (13 cm.) Black bisque swivel head on black bisque torso depicting a standing black cat,having
defined "fur" sculpting,stand-up ears,green glass sleep eyes,tiny nose,closed mouth modeled as
though open,loop-jointed bisque arms and legs,painted orange shoes,original brown fur tail.
Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 891 (inside neck rim) Tag Trademark copr by Georgene
Averill Germany (torso). Comments: the companion model to Rag,the cat doll was designed by
American artist Georgene Averill and created in Germany under commission from
Borgfeldt,1920s. Value Points: the delightful and wonderfully-sculpted cat doll is extremely
rare,designed by known artist,with rare green glass eyes,original tail; few are known to exist.
