Description
2 1/2" shoulder width. 10" overall length. To fit poupee about 13". A white cotton sateen fabric
with printed shadow design forms into an elegantly-shaped lady's gown with flared skirt
sides,hidden buttons and hand-made button holes extend the length of the front,coat
sleeves,attached very long capelet collar,two pockets,decorated with rows of scalloped-edge
handmade cutwork,and forming into a demi-train at the back. Along with a bone-handled
parasol with hand-grip,having rose silk cover with scalloped pinked edges and streamers.
Excellent condition,finial of parasol lacking. French,circa 1870,a superb gown with couturier
quality of fabric and construction.
