16" (41 cm.) Boy and girl,each with felt swivel head having pressed and painted facial
features,brown side-glancing eyes,dark eyeliner,painted curly lashes,feathered brows,accented
nostrils,closed mouth with pouting expression,two accent dots on bottom lip,brunette mohair
wigs,jointing at shoulders and hips. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Lenci Made in Italy (
paper tag on each,and pencil inscription 100/33 (boy) and 100/34 (girl) which appear originally
sewn but do not correspond to the Lenci catalog numbers. Comments: Lenci,the Scottish pair
appeared in the 1931 catalog and were identified as models 300/44 and 300/45. Value Points:
desirable couple with vibrant original costumes,having well-detailed accessories and
tailoring,including the leather and lambswool sporum (pouch).
