Description
18" (46 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head,painted blue eyes slightly-glancing to the
right,thick dark upper eyeliner,one-stroke tapered brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with
very full pouting lips,flocked-finish blonde hair,composition and wooden ball-jointed
body,with original felt and suede cowboy costume including belt,holster and shoes,with little
toy six-shooter. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: K*R 101 X 46. Comments: Kammer
and Reinhardt,circa 1910 from their art-character reform series; this exact doll was shown in
Patricia Schoonmaker's Further Research on Kammer and Reinhardt; ex-collection Marlene
Leuzzi. Value Points: exceptionally fine quality of sculpting with strong definition of eye
hollows,ears and chin,extra details of decorative glaze on lips and philtrum,original body and
body finish; the rare solid dome X variation of K*R's 101 Peter model has luxury flocked hair
in wonderfully-preserved condition.
