Description
6" (15 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque torso,tiny brown glass sleep eyes,painted lashes,feathered brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with extended center line,brunette mohair wig,loop-jointed bisque bent arms and legs in baby pose,painted white socks and blue shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 15 copr. by Grace S. Putnam Germany. Comments: Bye-lo,designed by the American artist,and produced in Germany under commission from George Borgfeldt,circa 1923. Value Points: extremely rare variation of the all-bisque Bye-lo,with all three rarity factors: wig,glass eyes and swivel head; few examples are known to exist.
