6 1/2" (17 cm.) One-piece bisque Kewpie with sculpted red Civil War cap with black brim, black belt, holding a brown rifle in his right hand, silver handled sabre in his left, and with black belt, is standing on a bisque base alongside a tree-shaped vase in the Art Nouveau manner. Excellent condition. Marked C. in black circle. Germany, circa 1915, from original designs by Rose O'Neill.
