11" (28 cm.) The fine wooden low-standing corner cabinet (encoignure) is designed with a
bombe-shaped front,curved side columns and feet,and low apron. The rich pink marble top has
beveled edge and there are bronze mounts on the sides,feet and apron. The cabinet is painted
with richly embellished gold leaf in the Chinoiserie style depicting a lively garden scene.
French,the maitrise model was created to depict the quality of workmanship that could be
obtained from the Parisian atelier that specialized in these wares. Late 19th century in the 18th
century style. Excellent condition
