28" (71 cm.) Bisque socket head depicting an older child,painted small brown eyes in well-
defined eye sockets,thick black upper eyeliner with curly fringed upper lashes,wavy feathered
brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with outlined lips,impressed cheek
dimples,wheat blonde hand-tied human hair wig,composition and wooden ball-jointed
body,wearing brown silk dress with lace overlay,undergarments,red leather shoes,and brown
velvet cap with lace trim; two additional bonnets are included. Condition: generally excellent.
Marks: K&H (in banner) 520 14. Comments: Kley and Hahn,circa 1910,from their art character
series. Ex-Marlene Leuzzi collection,the doll was also photographed in her 1975 and 1978
doll identification books. Value Points: the rare largest size known of this rare model with
wonderfully-detailed sculpting of the shyly-smiling girl,beautiful bisque and painting.
