3 1/4" (8 cm.) l. trunk. A heavy card stock domed trunk with paper decoupage cover to simulate
wooden slats and metal trim,has a lift-top that opens to reveal a superb interior featuring a
hand-tinted engraving of a woman with Apollo Knot coiffure and a paper-lace framed mirror;
along with a wire-framed basket with hinged wire handle,and a glass-covered floor with hand-
tinted engraving of early-19th century lady in colorful costume. Excellent condition.
French,early/mid 19th century,two rare accessories that are wonderfully-preserved.
