Description
18" (46 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head depicting a young child with sculpted short
blonde wispy hair that is tucked behind her fully-sculpted ears and captured at the crown by
a sculpted aqua-blue hair bow. She has small intaglio upper-glancing blue eyes with black
incised eyeliner,white eyedots,accented nostrils of rounded nose,closed mouth with solemn
expression,extended accent line between the lips,Sonneberg composition and wooden ball-
jointed body,wearing white pique dress with blue cross-stitch
embroidery,undergarments,shoes and stockings. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 7
Heubach (in square) 8381 Germany. Comments: Gebruder Heubach,circa 1912,the doll was
modeled to represent the beloved young child,Princess Juliana of the Netherlands. Value
Points: very rare portrait model,it was made in two sizes only,this being the rare larger size.
The doll has exceptionally detailed sculpting of hair (see detail photo),and finest quality
bisque and painting.
