bosom and shoulder blades,black complexion with gleaming patina,amber brown glass
paperweight inset eyes,ebony black eyeliner,lashes and brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth
with coral full lips,suggestion of tongue tip,pierced ears,black mohair wig over cork
pate,French brown kid bebe body with Chevrot-hinged hips,wooden lower legs,kid-over-
wooden upper arms,black bisque lower arms and hands. Condition: generally excellent.

(original paper label). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru,circa 1884,the Bru Jne model is the rarest
of the black Bru bebes. Value Points: flawless complexion with luminous patina allowing full
expression of beautifully-painted features,all-original head,shoulderplate and body,perfect
bisque hands,original costume comprising (frail) maroon silk dress,undergarments,very fancy
woven bonnet,watch and fob with faux-ruby stones,silk covered candy egg,knit stockings,and
leather shoes with silver buckles signed "Bru Jne Paris" (in oval) and "2".
