frowning expression, sculpted brown curly hair topknot and run-away forelock curl, sleep and

Comments: Gebruder Heubach, circa 1912,a signature model by the firm, the face was also
used for various figure vignettes by the firm; as a doll it was made with both painted and
glass eyes, this being the rarer version. Value Points: superb doll with wonderfully-
characterized fretful expression made possible by its large size, the frowning lips enhanced by
fret lines at lip corners and above the brows, and the deep sculpting of hair continues all
around the back of head, with great Tyrolean costume, and carrying antique scimitar and
bone-handled faux sword. $12,000/17,000
