Solid domed wooden carved head with flanged neck, blue glass sleep eyes, painted brown baby hair, painted creamy complexion, painted curly lashes, closed mouth and slightly-blushed cheeks,on original muslin Bye-lo body with celluloid hands, antique costume. Comments: the wooden-head Bye-lo presented in 1925 by Harry Schoenhut,an exact likeness of the Grace Storey Putname bisque Bye-lo; few examples of this doll are known to exist and variations on complexion tones indicate each was individually painted.
