blue glass paperweight inset eyes,dark eyeliner,painted lashes,rose-blushed eye
shadow,brush-stroked brows,dainty nose tip,shaded nostrils,closed mouth with defined
space between the shaded and outlined lips,separately-modeled pierced ears,blonde mohair
wig over cork pate,French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body,straight
wrists,plump limbs. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 9. Comments: Emile Jumeau,circa
1882,an early model of the beloved bebe designed by French sculptor Carrier-Belleuse under
commission from Jumeau. Value Points: dramatically-deep paperweight eyes contrast
beautifully the pale complexion,lovely wig,original early Jumeau body,and wearing a superb
embroidered tulle dress with lace and silk trim,undergarments,fancy bonnet,worn brown
leather shoes signed "Bebe Jumeau Depose 9".
