Description
4" shoulder width. 8" waist. 12" overall length.
Of rich black silk taffeta,the jacket features a
fitted bodice with handmade button holes and black
bead buttons,very wide pagoda-shaped sleeves,and
flared lower jacket that is slightly-longer in the
back and edged with narrow black grosgrain
ribbon,lace at the neckline. Along with a
gore-shaped blue taffeta skirt that has a
slightly-elongated back,and with a woven
flat-topped straw bonnet with turned-up sides and
blue silk ribbon draping and banding. Circa 1860.
