Description
5" shoulder width. 15" overall length. Of a
delicate rose silk with fitted high-waist bodice
that is overlaid by a large V-shaped Bertha
collar,the dress has very full skirt and sleeves.
There are alternating bands of lace and silk at
the yoke,and lace edges the
neckline,collar,sleeves and hem. Along with a
loosely-woven straw bonnet in elaborate lattice
style,decorated with rose silk bows and generous
clusters of tiny silk rosebuds and leaves. Circa 1888.
