Description
5 " shoulder width. 9 " waist. 20" overall. Of a
very finely-woven cream cotton with dainty berry
and leaf design,the lady's gown has a fitted
bodice,hook and eye closure at the
back,self-piping at the rounded neckline,and very
full upper sleeves achieved by cartridge pleating
at the shoulders and tapered lower sleeves with
buttons at the wrists. There is extensive
well-done repair on the fabric. Circa 1830.
