Description
6" shoulder width. 15" overall length. Of soft
ivory silk,the dress features flat front and back
panels with embroidered details,that are centered
by side panels with gathering above and below the
set-in waist. The side skirt panels have five rows
of ivory silk fringe,and the full long sleeves
have constructed loose cuffs with embroidery to
match that on the front. Along with ivory silk
bonnet whose firm structure belies the softness of
its appearance,decorated with pleated lace all
around the frame and having a cluster of flowers
and silk ribbons at the crest. Circa 1900.
