Description
4" shoulder width. 8" waist. 11" overall length.
The fine fabric is printed in shaded plaid design
of brows,creams and blue,and forms into a
long,nearly-skirt-length,fitted jacket with long
coat sleeves,dart-shaped bodice and waist,gores
below the waist and dramatic box pleats at the
back. The jacket is edged all-around with purple
silk and there are purple silk-covered buttons.
Some wear to fabric. Circa 1865.
