Description
26" (66 cm.) Bisque socket head with elongated facial modeling, brown glass paperweight inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, mauve-blushed eyeshadow, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, outlined lips of closed mouth, heart-shaped upper lip, dimpled chin and philtrum, separately-applied pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed plump body with straight wrists. Condition: there is an old hairline which extends from center crown rim to left eyebrow, tiny flake on upper eyeliner of left eye, original body and body finish. Marks: EJA 10 (head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1882. Value Points: very beautiful modeling and complexion on the very rare Jumeau signature doll, original body and body finish, original chemise.
