9" (23 cm.) Each has bisque socket head with sculpted hair and forelock curl, painted facial features, googly eyes, closed mouth with impish smile, one-stroke angled brows, five-piece paper mache body jointed at shoulders and hips, painted socks and black one-strap shoes. Marks: 6 9530 Germany Heubach (square). Comments: Gebruder Heubach, circa 1918. Value Points: the whimsical pair, in factory original costumes, are posed with blue or brown eyes which are flirtatiously glancing at each other.
