Description
3" shoulder width. 7" waist. 11" overall length.
Of polished fine cotton in a delicate rose color
with printed blue and pale green flowers and
leaves,the ensemble comprises a jacket with
hand-made buttons and button holes at the
frony,elbow-length sleeves,slightly elongated
flared back,with matching skirt having fitted
waist band and decorated with two bands of
horizontal tucks. Along with a woven cap-like
bonnet designed to snugly fit the back of the
head,having decorative lattice braid on the
exterior,fine hand-made lace ruffle,flower
sprig,rose ribbons,and original paper-stitched
lining. Circa 1865.
