Description
17" (43 cm.) All-wooden carved polychromed figure of young aristocratic man, sculpted flowing brown hair, inset enamel eyes, strong aquiline nose, closed mouth with firmly-set lips, one-piece head and torso, dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees. Condition: generally excellent. Genoese, mid-1700s, attributed to the workshops of Pasquale Navone, wearing original silk and velvet costume with braid trim.
