Description
3" inside head width. The stiff paper armature of the cap,designed to protect the head of a learning-to-walk toddler,is covered with padding and homespun fabric with extra embroidery detail. A pull-string allows the hat to be adjusted for size,and an ivory silk bow decorates the peak. Circa 1850.
