Description
7" shoulder width. 10" waist. 15" overall length.
Of crisp white cotton,the rounded-neckline dress
has dart-shaped fitted bodice,and long sleeves
that are full at the top and become fitted at the
wrists,with full skirt. The dress is trimmed at
the neckline and cuffs with four narrow bands of
white braid and edged with a scalloped embroidered
cotton band; there are seven bands of narrow braid
at the skirt hem. Along with a white waffle-weave
pique bonnet with wide pleated brim,lace
ruffle,and bavolet; soutache embroidery appears at
the back of the bonnet and bavolet. Circa 1860.
