28" (71 cm.) Bisque socket head with very full
cheeks,blue glass paperweight inset eyes,dark
eyeliner,rose-blushed eye shadow,lushly-painted
lashes,brush-stroked and multi-feathered
brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with defined
space between the outlined lips,pierced
ears,dimpled chin,blonde mohair wig over cork
pate,French composition and wooden fully-jointed
body,straight wrists. Condition: generally
excellent. Marks: Depose Tete Jumeau Bte SGDG 13
(head) Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Emile
Jumeau,circa 1886,the transitional model has
earlier straight wrist body and facial modeling of
impressed depose model,although bearing the tete
stamp. Value Points: desirable and rare to find
transitional model is enhanced by beautiful bisque
and eyes,and is wearing beautiful antique costume
and bonnet.
