16" (41 cm.) All-wooden carved polychromed figure of young woman with slightly plump face, carved brown hair with centerpart and softly rolled curls waved away from her face, deeply-set large enamel eyes, carved very full lips, one-piece head and torso with defined cleavage, dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, painted blue stockings and rose slippers, very expressive posing of fingers, wearing early silk gown with lace and braid trim, fan. Condition: generally excellent. Genoese, early 1700s, attributed to the workshops of Anton Maria Maragliano, notable for especially large eyes.
