16" (41 cm.) Pink-tinted porcelain head with
flat-cut neck socket that accommodates neatly to
the matching shoulder plate,painted blue eyes with
spiral threading,thick dark upper
eyeliner,lightly-feathered brows and
lashes,accented nostrils,closed mouth with center
accent line,blonde mohair wig,softly-stuffed kid
poupee body with kid-over-wood upper
arms,porcelain arms to above the
elbows,gusset-jointing at hips,"sitting strings"
at midriff,ball-jointed knees,porcelain lower legs
and bare feet. Condition: generally excellent.
Marks: Mme. Rohmer Brevete a Paris (green stamp on
front torso). Comments: Leontine Rohmer,circa
1865,the fully-marked doll features her deposed
neck articulation and sitting system. Value
Points: an especially beautiful model of Rohmer
has superb painting with dainty mouth contrasting
her wide eyes,original body,and is presented in
her own wooden chair with gold leaf finish,along
with her antique gown.
