Description
15" (38 cm.) Bisque shoulderhead with blonde sculpted hair decorated with braids at the front crown and arranged curls at the back of head, blue glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, arched brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with center accent line, pierced ears, sculpted bodice with original hole at center for placement of "jewel", muslin stitch-jointed body, kid arms, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Alt, Beck and Gottschalk, circa 1870. Value Points: rarity factors include glass eyes, fancy coiffure, "jewel" bodice. Private collection Merle Glickman.
