17" (43 cm.) One-piece carved wooden head and
torso with egg-shaped head,oil-painted over gesso
complexion,black enamel oval-shaped eyes with
outlined lashes,dot-fringed brows,closed mouth
with primly-shaped lips,blush spots on
cheeks,original hand-tied human hair wig,elongated
strong throat,slightly-shaped bosom,flat
back,articulated at hips and knees,cloth upper
arms,wooden lower arms with tine-shaped fingers.
Condition: generally excellent,small paint rub on
nose,original well-preserved finish. Comments:

beautifully preserved doll wearing her
entirely-original linen homespun gown with lace
front and long capelet sleeves,homespun
under-blouse with lace front,two dark brown linen
and homespun petticoat,the costume was that of a
lady-in-waiting to the Queen known as The Bead
