17" (43 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged
bisque shoulder plate,blue glass enamel inset eyes
with pronounced spiral-threading,dark
eyeliner,feathered lashes and brows,accented
nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with
outlined lips,pierced ears,wheat-blonde human hair
wig over cork pate,all-wooden fully-articulated
body with shapely torso,dowel-jointing at
shoulders,elbows,hips and knees,extra-pivot
jointing at upper arms and legs,jointed wrists.
Condition: generally excellent,original body
finish with very light scuffing,big toe chipped on
right foot. Marks: 4. Comments: Jumeau,circa 1865.
Value Points: classic poupee model by Jumeau has
beautiful pale bisque with delicately-blush-tinted
eye lids,cheeks and chin,and rare
fully-articulated body with extra pivots.
