13" (33 cm.) x 9" A heavy card box is richly covered with mauve papers,lithograph of fancying child,and gilt lettering"Loterie de Monaco" in a wide banner. The box opens to reveal well-fitted interior with numerous niches containing the roulette wheel,and a number of prizes ranging from a pair of miniature bisque vases,to ormolu-framed prints to plates of toy food. Very good condition,an early version of the Loterie parlor entertainment that remained popular in Paris into the 20th century; this particular early example is circa 1865.
