Description
5" (13 cm.) cupboard. Each is of lightwood with
ebony-finished trim and applied colorful paper
lithographed decorations in geometric designs. The
matched set includes: glass front cupboard,chest
with mirror,buffet with hutch top,sofa with
original blue velvet upholstery,round pedestal
table,and four matching side chairs with
balloon-shaped back and blue velvet seats edged by
embossed gold paper bands. Excellent condition.
Germany,circa 1885. The paper lithography is
especially well-preserved on the rare set.
