Description
4" (10 cm.) An all-wooden doll with painted black
hair and facial features,dowel-jointing at
shoulders,elbows,hips and knees,has painted white
stockings and orange flat shoes,and is wearing her
original frail dress and turban cap. The doll is
seated inside a miniature 4 1/2" sedan chair
(Chaise a porteur") with bombe-shaped
ceiling,windowed door and sides,carrying slats,and
original tapestry cover. Condition: good,original
painting on doll albeit face is rubbed. Comments:
circa 1850. Value Points: rare petite size of
sedan chair,perfectly scaled for 4" doll,this
model with full-articulation of limbs.
