Description
13" (33 cm.) A wooden cart or wheel-barrow with
fancifully-shaped frame and wheel is decorated
with colorful painted and silk-applique scenes of
flowers and a Japanese woman,with burgundy silk
borders. The top of the cart has a curved cover
which when opened reveals a silk-lined interior
with tufted pin-cushion. Likely designed as a
necessaire or gift presentation,the cart has the
original shop label of S. Jacomet of Poitiers on
the underside. French,circa 1875,attributed to
Badeuille who also made dollhouse furnishings and
doll accessories (see #5 of this catalog).
