8" (20 cm.) One-piece porcelain torso and legs of adult lady with shapely figure,posed en pointe with left leg extended gracefully backward,jointed porcelain arms,sculpted grey hair in elaborately-arranged curls capped with a gold beaded crown,painted facial features,blue downcast eyes,red and black upper eyeliner,closed mouth,sculpted pink ballet slippers,posed on wooden plinth. Excellent condition except one finger tip chipped. Germany,attributed to Kister,circa 1900.
